To start, you'll need an 8mm mother-of-pearl pearl, a flat head nail and a Lotus flower cup. The pearl will go into the heart of the petals and allow the cup to hold onto the nail.

First thread the pearl onto the nail, then place the cup. Gently hold the cup without forcing it so as not to break it! 

Then form a loop wide enough to fit inside the pendant. 

Now open the spiral loop with flat-nose pliers and place it inside the circle pendant. This step is a little tricky, so hold the loop with the pliers to make it easier to guide the nail through the hole in the pendant.

Still using the flat pliers, close the loop in the opposite direction to secure the assembly. Make sure the buckle is closed and aligned correctly.

Now start assembling the beads around the edge of the pendant.

Cut a brass wire about 20cm long and string 2 Miyuki 11/0 beads, a 2mm mother-of-pearl bead and 2 Miyuki beads again.

Place the beads in the centre of the thread, then place the centred beads at the bottom outer edge of the pendant.

Twist the thread around the pendant 2 turns on each side of the beads. To create small waves, do not glue the beads to the pendant, but leave a small space to create a curve of beads.

Continue in this way on either side of the central beads. Tighten the thread around the pendant.

Add 7 small waves of beads, then wind the thread around 3 turns tightly. Cut the excess off flush with the last turn and on the back of the pendant.
Flatten the cut wire slightly with flat-nose pliers, taking care not to damage the wire!

To finish, open a 5mm ring with 2 flat pliers, then insert the pendant and earring holder, making sure they are positioned in the right direction.

Close the ring, checking that it is back on its axis and that there is no gap.

Your jewellery is finished!
