You'll need to be very methodical to achieve this. To begin, write the word you want on a sheet of paper, so that you can determine the size of the letters, the typography and, above all, see the path of the thread. This will enable you to create pretty letters with continuous writing. Next, begin the process, positioning the round-tipped pliers at the curved points, then using your fingers to deform the wire into the shape of the pliers. Be careful not to apply too much pressure to the wire with the pliers, as you could mark the wire. Don't hesitate to work the thread in all directions. For the letter M, for example, we take the thread to the right to form the first curve and work our way down, then we bring the thread back up just behind to conceal the passage and take up the second curve... This makes it possible to reproduce finer writing that is less spread out on the side. Watch the videos below for guidance. You can practise with flexible gardening wire (or cheaper wire) to understand the method. Here we've made a "Mamy" bracelet in honour of grandmothers, a "Love" bracelet (the easiest to make) and a "Love" brooch to vary the possibilities. And voilà! A great achievement! |
